Merbein Common

This is the view from the Stonnington tavern where Bucketwine is processed.  It looks down over our Nero d’Avola vineyard toward the Mighty Murray River.  The area along the river in this region is Merbein Common, a reserve which is for the protection of flora and fauna but also for recreational use for the community.  We are so lucky to have these kind of parks in our district.

Taking care of precious natural resources is part of our philosophy at Chalmers and one of the main reasons we are committed to researching varieties which require less irrigation and inputs in the vineyard and less additions in the winery.
