We have the only row of Nosiola vines in Australia. Lucky us! What a unique grape. It tastes quite subtle and mild with a strong ripe red apple character. The berry itself is quite gelatinous like a lychee inside, so the extraction rate for juice is very low, especially when pressing by hand. The wine looks quite neutral most of the way through ferment until all of a sudden at about 3 baume it comes alive.
