Gigantor Garganega

Garganega, the variety used to make Soave wines in the Veneto region of Italy, has the most enormous buches you’ve ever seen!  It performs very well in our Merbein vineyard, holding it’s acid well and consistent;y making delicious wines.  That may seem strange for a northern Italian variety in a hor dry climate…  But Garganega is a synonym of Grecanico – a Sicilian variety which makes high acid wines on the Mediterranean island.  I think we should rename our Gaarganega row as Grecanico in the vineyard.  It makes more sense in sunny Mildura.
